Liver Damage

My family doctor who prescribed Ritalin for me after I described my ADD symptoms about a year ago is now backing off my medication because my liver enzymes are high. Has anyone else experienced high liver enzymes or liver damage due to Ritalin? I was taking 20 milligrams now I'm down to 10 and my symptoms are returning somewhat --however it's more important that I take care of my liver--The warning and side effects don't say anything about liver damage.
