More Efficient Means of Trying New Perscriptions?

So here's the deal. I've been trying different medications for my ADD, but I'm not happy with them so far. Every time I want to try a new prescription, I have to go see my doctor. The only problem is that I'm on my family's plan and due to pre-existing conditions, even a simple consultation with a general practitioner costs an arm and a leg. Going to see a psychiatrist is even harder on my wallet. Since I actually have a health insurance, I don't think I would qualify for any assistance.

So does anyone know of a better, cheaper way to consult with a doctor about medication? Or am I pretty much SOL?

Funding ADHD Treatment

How incredibly frustrating! I know how you feel. I have health insurance and still can't afford to go to the doctor. Go figure.

It might take some extra work, but you might be able to work with your insurance company to lower your ADHD treatment costs. Check out this article about Lowering ADHD Treatment Costs: Working With Your Insurance Provider.

Good luck, Dena
