Taking Meds at Night Versus in the Morning?

My DD takes her medicine before bed every night. The prescription I realized said take in the morning. Does this really make a difference? DD takes Strattera.

night vs. day

Strattera is really an antidepressant so it should stay in the blood stream long enought that for most people taking it during the day or at night will not make an appreciable difference. Strattera is one of my least favorite medications because it usually does not work effectively for ADD.

I would suggest taking either one of the stimulants such as adderall or ADD-care which is an all natural supplement that works as well and can be found on www.add-care.com

Jef,

My DH, I and her Dr. have been descussing the idea of moving DD to a stimulant. We increased the strattera fairly recently, although I don't think it will make a bit of difference. I think the reason it had worked before was related to stress and depression. The past two to two and half years have been pretty hectic for her and the whole family! The dust has settled, so to speak, and it is when it didn't seem to be effective any longer.

Thank you for your opinion!

Strattera

This article about Strattera by Dr. Larry Silver claims that the drug should be taken in the morning.

You mentioned that your Dr. is considering stimulants. You might want to take a look at these articles.
