My 8 year old is taking 40mg. Strattera daily for ADD. He is still very irritable..while we are still trying to get at the root cause of his irritability, his psychiatr. said he could take Clonidine at night (we wonder if he is sleeping deeply enough at night and have been trying melatonin as well) I also am considering a sleep study although the psychiat. didn't seem to think he appeared to be sleep deprived/overweight etc. Has anyone had experience w/using clonidine for irritability w/children. It is primarily a high blood pressue med so that is kind of scary to me also...
