Vyvanse and Nausea After Two Months?

My 6 year old son has been on 20mg of Vyvanse once a day for approximately 2 1/2 months. The first three weeks were rough as he had severe mood swings, some insomnia, confusion, he was very serious and rarely smiled. After about three weeks it pretty much all subsided. The meds leveled out, his focus was amazing and he was pretty much back to his old self. His appetite has been affected now, and we many times have to make him eat. The past ten days however he has vomitted three times on three different days. The first instance happened, two days later the second and seven days later the third. Initially we thought this was a bug as our other two children each threw up one time...one of them being the same night as our ADHD son. However, this most recent time he had been fine for a week and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, he got nauseous and then threw up. I read that nausa and vomitting is rare afecting only 2-9% of people. My question is, is it possible to develop a side effect to a drug a couple of months after you've been on it?

Nausea right away

i don't know what to tell you about the delayed (two months in) nausea. I came here looking to see what experiences others have had starting Vyvanse. My almost 9 yo son has been taking Metadate CD for almost a year, but we stopped over the summer. He seemed to do well with it during school, but at home (without the structure) he was very "bored" and moody much of the time, almost to the point of tears. The dr recommended trying Vyvanse (30 mg) as an alternative. We tried it one day last week and about mid-day he became very pale, clammy and nauseous. He then vomited 4-5 times throughout the afternoon and evening. We wondered if it could be coincindence or the med. We rested for a few days and tried again yesterday. In the meantime, I'd had a very stressful public outing to the dr's with both my ADHD boys. He was resistant to trying the Vyvanse again, but I told him if he was to go out shopping with me again, he had to take his pill. He did take it yesterday and was quiet as a church mouse, but very sullen, depressed-acting. He didn't eat much, and in the afternoon driving home he again started vomiting. He vomited several more times into the evening. I won't have him take it again. We're not sure where to go from here. He wants to begin school (two weeks) without meds. I may have him try it and if we run into concerns with the teacher, we can go back to Metadate CD just on school days.
