typing programs

My 12 yr old child has LD in written expression and ADD. I would like him to learn to type correctly over the summer . While he has an alpha smart in the school year he barely uses it, because he's not a good typist. Any suggestions on the best typing software? Any ideas on how to incorporate alpha smart use in classroom?
