Sleep Issues

Hi I have been diagnosed with ADHD and Sleep Apnea. The CApp works great and has greatly reduced my fatigue, but any movement, or sound will bring me from stage 4 sleep (deep in a dream, to wide awake) in a second. Leaving me struggling with un-restful sleep. Any suggests. Thanks

Here are a few articles that offer advice that might help you get a better night's rest. They are geared toward ADHD, not sleep apnea, but they might help.

Re: Sleep Issues and Sleep Apnea

My husband also has ADD and Sleep Apnea. He had to try about three different types of masks before he found one that worked for him. Try telling the people who sold you the CPAP machine and see what they suggest, if that doesn't work tell your doctor and see what they say. If not, when you have your next sleep study, tell them. Better yet, call ahead and let then know so if they can help you they will be prepared. I think there is a sleep apnea website, but am not sure, persistence pays off the most. Wish you the best.

mask

Hi Elizabeth I have tried different masks and the one I have works great. It is just that any sound or movement and I am wide awake. I wonder if this can be linked to my ADHD. I normally settle back to sleep quickly, but with three young kids and a spouse with insomnia, that is a lot of waking up. Although the sleep labs are really quiet., next time I have a test, I will tell them about my ADHD and waking patterns. Thanks Andy
