Reaction to Anesthesia

Do you know what the medications were that he was given each time? How old was he in the other instance you mentioned when he got stitches?

Some cold and allergy medications that are supposed to make one drowsy sometimes have the opposite effect on children.

I do know that the medication Procaine (similar in type to novacaine), when given intraveneously, can cause similar type reactions in some individuals, particularly those with some types of epilepsy or with borderline personality disorder.

You might want to also discuss this with your pharmacist, who may have some insight. I have never read or heard of anything regarding this reaction in connection with ADHD, although many individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) have ADHD as well. But BPD doesn't usually develop until puberty or early adulthood.

Hope this was of some help. ====================================== rock ====================================== find lawyer-
