Sexual Performance

hello, I am new here and I need some help, please. I have just started taking Vyvanse, for almost a month now. I was taking Concerta for about 3 years and then stopped altogether and was off all meds for about 7 months. due to cicumstances beyond my control, i am back on meds, and my doctor has me trying out Vyvanse. my question is, have any of you out there experience problems with sexual performance? i am a 29 year old male, and lately i have extreme 'difficulty' with control. i was wondering is anyone else has had any issues like that? i also was wondering if this is something that will pass? My wife has noticed it too, and before i speak to my doctor about this, i would like to hear from the rest of you. thanks.

medication and sexual performance

i have been on strattera for a year and i have had a very little in interest in sex. i feel bad for my poor husband! but he prefers me on the medication because of the other benefits. i just try to make myself act interested it usually ends up alright. medication for sure has a huge effect on the sex drive.

Medications have a huge effect on sexual performance

Many of the anti depressants can effect your sexual performance. Usually ADHD meds keep people focused enough so they can engage in relations Do you have the drug circular see if it say anything. I don't have any experience with Vynase; But ask yourself some questions . Such as are the medicines working at the time or are they worn off. Or are you feeling distracted. Hormones flucuations can also being affected so you may need some blood test.. All meds have affects thing you don't think about like antihistamines cause difficulties so does herbs and foods such Licorce which rises the BP. Sugar levels that are high also have negative affects . It sounds like you may need a good physical and have your sugar, kidneys and BP etc check out.

Sex Drive

Hello, I am new to this community. I have been on and off ADHD meds since I was 9. I am now 30. I am also female. I was having some serious trouble in my marriage and have made the decision to go back on the meds. My doctor has started me on Concerta and My sex drive has gone through the roof! I mean I think about it all the time! I just started this med 4 days ago so I am going to give it some more time. I hope it settles down and works well for me, but I guess time will tell. Anybody else with this reaction to this drug? Thanks

Re:

Losemyhead, I'm a 22yo female and I've been on most of the common ADHD drugs, including Concerta. Since puberty, I've noticed that the meds put my sex drive through the roof, not just concerta. this can be tricky, as i'm single, but someone will enjoy it eventually :-P

similar

A few moths ago, my husband was on concerta 54mg. He was also taking SAM E supplement. He was haing similar 'control' issues as mentioned here. We dismissed it as stress... but it was completely out of the ordinary for him, he's only 36 and no problems like this in the past. When I started to feel like it was me, he went to the DR. The Dr said no side effects of ADHD meds include sexual side effects, but lowered his dose anyway. Problem solved.... so, we feel there is a relation. He stopped taking the SamE too, but he had taken that years ago without side effects, so we think the Concerta dose was too high.

The cure for the cure.

So you are suggesting taking more meds to take care of the side effects of the other meds? I've had similiar issues with Adderall and I'm not sure that I want to take more meds on top of it. Anyone have experience with this who isn't advertising for a drug company?
