ADHD and ODD MEDS My nine year old son has ADHD and we have tried two different meds. We are on Focalin XR15mg and the doctor just started him on another half of a 15mg because he said that he is ODD as well and the meds are not lasting long enough of because of the ODD. Has anyone heard of that as been why the meds are not working long enough? Quote

What we were told Hi luvmyson, My son has ADD,ODD,OCD, bi-polar & dyslexia we have started when he was 6, he is now 12 1/2. We have not yet gotten the right med combo yet, but the meds never seemed to last as long as they said they should. Sometimes it was like 1/2 the time or just lasts a few hrs. We were told it was how his body metabolizes them. Good luck & remember to listen to your instincts. Quote
