Hello, I am new to the boards here and was hoping you all could help. My son is almost 9 and has ADHD. He has made leaps and bounds of progress since being on Concerta this year. I don't have the daily phone calls from the school about his disruption etc, he's just been fantastic this year.

Now that the other issues have cleared away I am more aware of his lack of friendships. He's very social and outgoing within the class room, but I've been told that out at recess he is at times a loner. Happy to be playing by himself and not moping, but alone nonetheless.

When I ask him questions about who he hung out with with at lunch, gym or recess, I get the same answer..."Everyone". His Teacher confirms that he is friendly with everyone. Recently a girl in his class has been picking on him and he finally admitted that to me. I'm worried that he doesn't have a group/click/BFF or whatever that would have his back and stick up for him.

Is this a symptom of ADHD? Just happy and non committal to anyone?
