Way of thinking

While learning for my exams I realized that the way of thinking among people with ADHD is somehow two-edged. I used the mind-map method in order to organize all the stuff for my exams and soon found out by the basic material that I took down in my lectures at university was somehow irrationally organized. Exams demand rational operations and appropriate ways to find sollutions and with regard to the problem mentioned above this obviously leads to problems. But later - while doing some stuff apart from learning and organizing tedious facts I realized that this way of thinking can be effective as well. Memorizing information in my natural ADHD based approach lead to a hyperfocused network of special information. On one hand this is quite bad in exams that demand an extensive and broad knowledge. On the other hand creative development processes and quite unusual problem sollutions are easier to find for people with ADHD and their way of thinking. I don't know - in case you 'suffer' from ADHD yourself - if you have experienced this as well?!? So it would be terrific to share some of your impressions, experiences and oppinions. So please participate in this thread!!!!
