Finally! Such an important topic that I can not get enough of. I am determined on putting together observation tools to detect learning styles in early childhood so children can succeed from the beginning on. I struggled for many years with leaning difficulties before I finally figured it out. Then when I had children and my oldest son started struggling, I had my experience to pull resources from. I believe learning difficulties is actually an underestimated realization of all the different ways we can anchor information. I am glad this topic is starting to surface, and I like to see it prevalent in school. As for my son, I was relentless in mirroring his greatness and strengths so he never doubted himself, which lead him to advocate for his needs. He's now in his graduating year of high school and although not an honors student, he does know who he is, what he likes and definitely know where he is going. Detecting his learning styles early on definitely made it easier for him at school. Today I help parents help their children succeed.
