Invisible ADD

I just read the blog of the single lady with add. She wrote in June of 08 about sympathy for ADD. I want it too. She wrote ADD is invisible. I read this & everything around me faded into the background. As if I sat in a chair alone hanging midair with the computer screen's harsh light blaring at me . There was no sound at all and again I read ADD IS INVISIBLE. oh my goodness that is how I feel. no one wants to hear about it. I get advice to make my life, day or whatever better. You need a notepad my mom said to me today. WHAT i am the list queen. I'll write & re-write them.I'll number in order what i want to do. I stick to it sometimes. I have to at the end of the day remind myself to check what I have done & give myself a pat on the back. No one else is going to do it. I certainly can't talk about my meds or my ADD. my mother in law says with my son it is not all add that causes his problems. I hear he knows how to manipulate me. he can do his school work fine. He can do things he just doesn't want to. NO, REALLY.If we adders don't like it or have an interest it is like pulling teeth. Why can't people see that. why is our creativity not seen & appreciated??? I 've got no support here in QUEENS. How do we get this out there I had to really search & educate myself. My attention waxes and wanes sometimes I can coast add free I am so right on top of it all I am super mom. Then I crash & burn. I really have trouble getting going again. I feel stuck today.I've got a fire burning in me & I don't know how to get it out & use it.

Not Alone

Sometimes it helps just to know you aren't alone and many adults with ADD are thinking the same things you are. The blog column you referred to, Adult ADHD blog by Jane . , is relevant to so many adults who face the same struggles.

So, welcome to the ADHD community. You are welcome here, we understand you.

Good luck, Dena
