Any meds in liquid form?

Hi all!

I have two ADD/ADHD kiddos, but the biggest issues are with my daughter. At 5, she has been on meds for a few months with decent results. The issue is that she still cannot swallow her pill. I was opening her capsule and sprinkling it on applesauce, but she then chews it.

I just discovered that we aren't supposed to crush her current med (Methylin ER) and my kids' counselor mentioned that she thought Metadate had a liquid form. Anyone know about this? I want to try a short acting formula with her, so she can also have an after school dose, but since she isn't swallowing the pills yet (she loves power struggles) this isn't an option.

We have tried training her to take her pills and she just refuses, so it would be nice to eliminate the issue for a while. I don't the the patch is a viable option, since she already has a decent case of eczema.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Alana Author, Domestically Challenged
