How Long to Tell with Strattera?

So I've been on Strattera for more than a month now and it's definitely helping, but my question is, when you change your dosage (I just went from 60mg to 80mg), about how long does it take until you can tell if that dosage is working?

Thanks!

ADHD Dosage

Hi there:

Glad to hear the Strattera is working for you! Of course your doctor is always the best person to ask, but I found some previous posts by Dr. Larry Silver that suggest a new dosage should show signs of working or not working within a few days - definitely a week.

I hope this helps!

Actually, it can take weeks.

Since Strattera isn't a stimulant, it takes some time to build up in your system before you really feel the effects. According to my doc, it can take several weeks to tell the difference after switching dosages, rather than the few days with something like Ritalin.

I just bumped up to 100mg/day from 80mg/day - the 80 was helping but just not cutting it. I hope this does the trick!
