good luck
I always believed the scientific evidence that diet does not impact ADHD symptoms in my child.
It was too hard to do and too expensive to buy all the gluten free food. My daughter thrived on simple carbs. Even switching her to whole wheat carbs proved no difference. But then I made the decision to stop listening to all the talk and try the Feingold diet on my daughter. There are improvements that have certainly lowered her level of ADHD symptoms. . When she has certain foods, she is more impulsive and argumentative and back talks much more. It was amazing to me that a few chocolate chip cookies could produce such changes in her for 4 days now. She calming down again. She only had 3 cookies too. There is some connection to their symptoms and their diet. In 30 more days I will start to reintroduce the foods to see how she reacts to dairy, colorings, and preservatives, as well as gluten again.
Try different things. Look for recipes on line that are gluten free. My daughter diet consist of no artificial colorings or flavorings, preservatives, gluten and dairy. No yellow corn also. We watch her sugar intake after 5 p.m. I have found sugar at night, such as her nightly ice cream if though it is soy ice cream, was causing her to wake up during the night vs. sleeping through the night.
Good luck on your journey....
