Help! Any Suggestions?

I'm new here so not sure how much to share. My wife and I have a 6.5 year old son with ADHD. He was responding well to Adderall and clonedine. Then about three months into it old symptoms started showing up again. He became hyper and defiant. Our Pediatrician added a small dose of Dexetrine to the Adderall and increased the clonedine .. seemed to be working however I am now seeing more meltdowns especially in the later part of the day .. usually 4-6pm .. he takes his Clonedine at 6:30 nightly and that usually settled him down for the night.

The frustrating part of the meltdown is that he seems to target me for some reason. The smallest issue can set him off. These can last from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. Last night .. he just wanted to fight with me both physically and verbally. I tried my hardest not to react but finally ended up leaving the house to get away from it all so I wouldn't have to have my own meltdown with him. He does show remorse afterwards. Its very confusing. He is not like this with my wife. He will listen to her and she is the one who ususaly settled him down.

We have an appointment with the Pediatrician next week so hopefully we can get him settled down.

Has anyone else experienced any of this?????

Help

Hi, I am raising my 8 year old grandson, he was diagnosed ADHD and ODD last year. Since he has been on all kind of medication, concerta, Adderal, daytrana etc. Now he is on 70 mg Vyvanse, Rhispodone and Straterra. We are having the same problems. In school he seems to be doing ok but in the afternoon it is really bad, he doesn't listen to my husband at all and gets angry about every little thing. I dont even want to go home. At around 6.30 pm he gets better. It seems like for some reason after a few month the medication stops working. It is really hard to deal with that and no one seems to understand.
