why do we constantly choose the unattainable?

It seems that we gravitate to people who are really offer no true commitment....maybe it iw easier so there are no dissapointments.....

If we seek those who cant really be there for us, maybe it is safer!!???

But another proof of how lonely our life is and what small expectations we really have?

We choose the attainable ?

I think we all want something unless we try how do we know if it is attainable or not? I believe in trying for what I want ; and I don't care if I lose in essence because part of the journey is the learning process or even the attainable just for a short while. I would rather lose in love or friendship then not have either of these in my life. It may hurt at the time if he or she decided to leave ; but I am able to brush myself off and keep going . Right now my friend of 33 years is going through a crisis that takes his faith in my love for him and his worth in life is not in his mind worth anything. It really is hurting right now to feel helpless; but I never would be the person I am without him in my life. However it may not be enough for him to keep from destroying his life. Will I feel guilty if he hurts himself, The answer is "NO" ; but I do wish he could see the unattainable future and make him reach the attainable in his life. Sometimes it is the time to let life happen that all it takes ; and let life lessons be learned. So I think try to reach the unattainable because it some how will become attainable if you just believe it will happen .
