My son is about to turn 11 and has ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, and Disruptive Behavioral Disorder. We have been trying to find a better medication. We have tried Straterra (which caused stomach aches), Ritalin (calmed him down but really brought out the Aspergers) and Adderall, which worked but not well enough. Plus he was having a hard time sleeping. We give him Melatonin but we had to keep increasing the doses and he was still waking up during the night for long periods. We have been trying Concerta for the last 6 weeks but are not happy with it at all. He has a lower attn. span, and when it wears off look out. So, we are searching for info. on other options before we talk to the dr. again. Does anyone have any info on side affects of Risperdal, Lamictal or any other meds. they have tried?
