These grades do not seem ok for a 1st grader. He is in a large class of 26. My husband and I question whether he should be in a smaller class to receive more attention. We have conferenced with the teacher & guidance counselor. Our son's teacher is "not concerned" with his "academic" ability rather his behavior is immature. He talks to much and figdets. He doesn't pay attention to her instructions which cause him to miss things on his assignments/tests. All of my other friends who have 1st graders have kids who are making all A's maybe some B's. VERY CONCERNED!! We have changed his medication but haven't noticed any change. What to do????
