ADHD Teenager with No Motivation!

My son has been on medication since the 3rd grade. It made a difference, but now in the ninth he has slowly been just getting by! He has no motivation AT ALL! We have tried rewards, no rewards, I feel awful, can someone please give us some advise.

Passion

My 9th grade boy (adhd, ocd, bi-polar) is passionate about fishing. If he stays caught up on his schoolwork, chores and rules, he gets to fish or watch a fishing show, fishing video game etc. The real trick is to find what truly excites him and then really support it. If he has passion for SOMEthing, it usually transfers to a better attitude about life. Good luck. Also, is he getting GOOD sleep?

Help for motivation?

I am struggling with the same problem, and I just read a book that I am attempting to put into practice. It's title is Overcoming Underachieving. It lays out a plan where you link ALL allowances and privileges to properly recording homework, completing it every night, planning long range for tests, longer-term projects, etc. We are just starting a new quarter and attempting to put it into place. Hopefully I will have good news in a few weeks.
