Looking for dosage comparisons (Focalin)

I know that dosages are supposed to be titrated based on metabolism so it is difficult to compare what one six year old needs versus another. Still, I would like to see a comparison of dosage rates that kids are recieving. My son takes 2.5 mg of short-acting Focalin 3 times a day. It helps, but its hard to know if more medicine would mean more help and what the downside would be.

Dosage Comparisons

I don't know if this is going to be of much help but my son has taken the short acting Focalin and still occassionally takes it when he needs a short acting med. He has taken it since he was 13 and he just turned 17. He takes 20 mg. of Focalin. Since there is quite a bit of age difference, I don't know how much help that will be. However, my understanding is that if an individual or child is not having significant relief of symptoms, that an increase in dosage may be warranted.

I have heard and read that underdosing is a frequent problem, especially if the doctor is not as knowledgeable and experienced with ADHD.
