A different option..
Does it HAVE to be a 'pouch' per se?
I know Rubbermaid makes these little 'drawers' that fit on my computer desk and they are stackable. Here's what I'm talking about:

I keep like items in the same drawers. (such as glue sticks/adhesive roller, super glue in one drawer, highlighters in another one.)
Here's another thought--what about something like a roll-up paint-brush holder?
http://sewing.about.com/od/freeprojects/ss/brushrollup.htm
has directions on how to make your own.
http://www.theartistsdepot.com/Alvin_Prestige_Brush_holders.htm
has a variety of brush holders...roll up, ones that fit on the desk.
Or a make up brush holder--might work better due to the fact that there are some make up brushes that have large handles. If you are crafty, you could make one of your own based on the aforementioned sewing.about.com website's directions, but sew 'lines' down in various width intervals for the items that would need to be stored. Then it could be rolled up and tied, or closed with a snap/button, magnet, etc.
