Panic Now and Think it Through Later
How do i stop the cycle? The here is a problem OMG panic and when I take time to think it through it was nothing to panic about. This goes on all day every day. Some days to the point where i get my mgmt involved and she starts to panic and then at the end she says that was not a big deal. I feel like a moron but dont know how to stop. |

ADHD Anxiety
Hi nsgblx: Welcome to the ADDitude forums! First of all, have you been diagnosed with ADHD and are you taking any medication? Anxiety is a common comorbid condition accompanying adult ADHD, and it sounds like that might be what's at work here. But I'm no expert, so I would suggest seeing your doctor, describing your ADHD panic attacks and potentially tweaking your medication to help this anxiety as well as the attention deficit. I hope that helps! |

Panic Now and Think it Through Later
Hi nsgblx, I am new to this forum. I know exactly what you are talking about, I have been there with the panic and anxiety for years. I would agree with Anni, I would suggest that you seriously look at the medication option. I say that after spending years of just having therapy without medication. Over the last couple of months, my psychologist suggested a certain medication to deal with my anxiety and panic. I started taking this medication and what a difference in terms of my head space. My life is not constantly controlled by fear & anxiety. I am no longer making a big thing out of little things. |
