What about GABA

Has anyone tried GABA for ADHD? Have you tried it with your children? Does it work?

Thanks. MaryEllen

GABA

It works well as a supplement, but does not come close to being a stand alone treatment. It is one of the ingrediants in ADD-care which many have found is a good rival treatment to the stimulants without the side effects.

Try L-Theanine

I tried Gaba and nada. It supposedly doesn't pass the blood-brain barrier. Then I latched onto L-Theanine or Suntheanine which is supposed to increase gaba levels. It works great for my chronic insomnia when I use it in conjunction with a Valerian, Hops and Chamomile mixture. Best sleep I've gotten in a looooong time! It definitely does seem to have a great calming effect on me so you might want to try that.
