Big problems

i'm 38 and was diagnosed last year with adhd. i have been fired from my basically every job. got fired in jan 2008 and got evicted- was in NYC. had to move home with mom and dad. yea i'm 38. nice eh? anyway how do i get a job when i been fired so often and cant get references. cant go back to school cuz cant afford, didnt do so hot the first time GPA 2.4 and again no refs. i have applied for disability but that will take a long time to get and prolly denied the first time. i was doing HR for doctors but dont want to anymore and when i try to change careers that didnt work. tried vocational trainging and basically flunked out of that.

DO your own thing...

I have found that this works so well with my ADD personality..

If you are like me you can't stand to be boxed in with rules, dress codes, micro managers looking on.... I found that if I do what I love and work with a direct marketing company that I have found a perfect match. Just find the product that you feel best about and check out the company and the leaders and then jump in- most of them are less than 500.00 to get started and you can begin making money asap- and you control the hours you put in and where you spend your time. I have found that these direct marketing companies have awesome training- not just on the product but a whole lot of personal growth- and it is free to the reps in the company. I am working with two companies that I feel great about and am doing well. If you would like to find out more about this great way of working from home on your own schedule just check out my web sites.... jancy.mywirelessrep.com or http://sendoutcards.com/27190 I have also had many "jobs" (just over broke)and find that I do so much better being in control of my time and how much I want to make cause the sky is the limit with these companies. We add,ers like to work when we are moved to do so and that may not be from 8-5 if we are able to do our own thing so to speak then we are more productive and much happier!! Good luck on your journey. Nancy mountainmom221@yahoo.com

I agree with Mountainmom ...

Try to find a line of work in which you can be self-employed. References are either not needed or much easier to obtain. Your job history will not be an issue in most cases. There's a big difference between small business and big business. The people I meet as a small business-person are, in most cases, very friendly and helpful.

I once saw a bumper sticker: "I love my job ... I love my boss ... I'm self-employed!"
