Antihypertensives & ADHD

My daughter has agression and impulse issues that the ritalin doesn't seem to squash. Her doc has suggested a antihypertensive like Tenex - anyone with experience with their kiddo? I've read the information and it sounds good, but also linked to some tragedies as well.
