Need a Caregiver Who Understands ADHD Children

GRANDMA - raising 8yr (Upstate NY)

I am reaching out to community for my 75 year old Mother. Even though she and my nephew have the support with school and doctors, she is losing in the home. She just does not have the strength any more. He is getting stronger, violent and out of control. Lately she is blaming it on the MEDS....which have been changed 2 dozen time in the last 4 years) - I believe it is her attitude and behavior and the fact that she simply needs HELP. It is so overwhelming for her. Please someone - let me know that route to proceed for help, their must be somebody who has knowledge or info. Please. Thank you so much!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the ADDitude forums! Have you looked at www.care.com? I have used it for nanny services with some success, and I see that they have caregivers, babysitters, etc. in their database... Maybe it's worth a try? Best of luck.
