College Transition for LD/ADD Students

I am a college Learning Specialist and the parent of son with attention deficit disorder and learning disabilities (LD/ADD) who graduated college successfully. At the community college where I am employed, I see many student like my son flounder, become frustrated, and eventually quit. The college, unfortunately, only offers the services of ONE part-time Learning Specialist for 14,000+ students!

Upset with the failure of many capable students, I wrote a course called CONQUER COLLEGE WITH LD - for high school students and their parents, It runs for 10 one-hour sessions and runs the gamut from how to prepare in high school all the way to navigating and achieving independence in college. I taught it for the first time last semester to rave reviews! Why anyone isn't teaching these skills is beyond me - they surely can make the difference b/w success and failure for an at-risk cohort.

If you would like more information about the course and/or a copy of "25 Rules of College Success for Students with LD", please e-mail me at TransitionSuccess@gmail.com
