Stimulants Leading to Sleep Issues
My 9 year old son was on Concerta a few years ago but it was keeping him up til 11pm at night and he was a zombie the next day at school so he was no farther ahead. So he was switched to Strattera, which I never really thought helped his attention at school. After 2 years of Strattera I asked his doctor to switch him to something that will help him concentrate better. He is on Biphenton 20 now. Its only been a week but he is back to staying awake til 10:30 or 11:00 at night. Has anyone had this problem and found a way to deal with it? |

Stimulants Leading to Sleep Issues
My son has recently been on a blend of Strattera and Focalin (at our doctor's advice). We had some concerns about the impact on his sleep. Our doctor directed us to Melatonin (3mg) at 8 pm. This basically is a natural substance that helps your body re-boot its circadian rythm and aids sleep (not a sleeping pill). It works wonders. |
