Medication: What Should It Do for Me?

I have tried adderal in the past and it felt like I was buzzed and hyped me up more. I didn't take anything for about 2 years and now I'm trying concerta. What should I be noticing? I notice some small things. When I get a thought in my head I don't feel driven to blurt it out. I still feel like I forget stuff, get distracted, don't get alot done to completion. I have gone from 18 to 36 with the concerta. Do you have to keep going up or when do you know to try something else. I hear people talk about wow now I get things completed etc but nothing that noticeable has happened with me. I tend to start thinking boy maybe I don't have ADHD and I'm just lazy and unmotivated. Any comments I would appreciate. Thanks, Andrea
