Adderall

I've switched from Strattera 60 mg to Adderall. The doctor started me at 15 mg and asked me to report each week how the med worked/affected me. The first week was wonderful! I remembered things without writing them down; I was very optimistic. I still felt like I needed caffeine for a boost though. When I called in the first week, the dosage was raised to 20 mg. The week was really hectic with meetings, etc. and I felt all most like I was taking nothing to help me. When I called in, the nurse reported that the doctor wanted me to try the 20 mg for a while. I had thought she was going to raise it to 25 then to 30 -- what she thinks would be "spot on" for me. Instead, I'm taking my 20 mg Adderall and stumbling around so to speak. Why would raising the dosage make me more symptomatic?
