Holistic ADHD Support & Resources - Miami Based Clinician

Greetings everyone... I've compiled a lot of resources concerning the topic of ADHD. You can find these materials at www.phinsights.com/adhd.html

I find the conventional approaches to ADHD to be oriented toward "managing" the symptoms rather than healing or resolving the source of the issue. That's why I've studied many healing philosophies and modalities and look at ADHD from a multidimensional, body-mind-spirit approach. I've worked with many children in the Miami area and seen how many were debilitated by being stuck on medications for long periods of time... natural approaches DO work, though I don't consider single bullet approaches of natural products to be enlightened either. Mental and emotional patterns (beliefs and emotions held in the subconscious) are a major part of any health issue, and working only with herbs or diet neglects that aspect. I invite you all to read my commentary and the references on the page I've linked to.

best wishes, Jed Shlackman, LMHC

in the North East

for those of you not in Sunny Florida, the NeuroSensory Center of Eastern Pennsylvania offers FDA-approved, non-invasive testing to find and treat the source of ADD/ADHD. It's covered by insurance, too.

Holistic Resources

ADD-care.com is an all natural alternative to the stimulants that has shown to be effective in head to head brain imagaing scans at the Amen Clinic. No other supplement has ever done as well. The main homeopathic blend is effective in turning on the prefrontal cortex and raising serotonin, dopamine, and, GABA. Because of this ADD-care has developed a complete suite of supplements that is effective for most mental health conditions such as ADD, depression, and anxiety.

ADD CARE

Jeff,

which one do most people use? or do you just try and narrow down your worst symptoms?

has it really worked for some people? I have spent a fortune in supplements and never saw much result.

Thanks CJ

School that handles ADHD with eductioin!

The is a wonderful school that handles "ADHD" by simply educating the child. They uniformly handle students and bring them up to grade level.

They tell the child they do not believe he is really learning disabled but he will have to learn and that it might involve some work. They find out what the child is interested in and tailor a program around that.

Then they test to find the actual level of understanding and start there by clearing up confusions and bringing them up to grade level.

The students actually start to like school!

They also teach manners! (This often produces a positive effect in the whole family!)

The school is called Help Miami they are in the Miller Square Shopping Mall at the corner of SW 56th St. and SW 137th.
