ADD (and Related) & Starting/Running a Business
It is still a mystery to me how they managed to make it that far with those symptoms and without medication. We know what it feels to be constantly 'bumped and pushed" off course during the day and get stuff done. Some of us go through a lifetime or restarting thoughts and things, getting discouraged and not finish anything ( major) and some manage to pull through successfully. It seems to me that family plays the number one role for people like those in the article. They mentioned a few key phrases that a parent or grandparent stuck in their mind e.g. "accept responsibility and not dwell on things". Maybe, since I don't know what it would be like to have some1 like that around while growing up, it's different for those who had pushy and ignorant parents that just made u feel guilty instead of building your confidence. Sometimes it is good to know what you should have had in the past and try to give it to yourself ... now.
Thanks for letting me talk to myself :)
