Unmedicated Today, I Certainly Know the Difference
One of my biggest concerns about taking medications was becoming addicted or dependent to amphetamines. I am starting the process of following a regimented schedule every day, and I am all out of medications today of all days. I really can't focus on the tasks that I scheduled for myself, and these are easy chores too. Stuff like ordinary house work, taking a shower, brushing my teeth. When I go to accomplish one of my tasks, like cleaning the refrigerator, I get started and something distracts me, and I start another task. This is frustrating as all hell. I definitely notice when I am not medicated now. I called my psych, left a message. |

Not Medicated
It is scary to think drugs that everyone "normal" use to get high keeps you focused; however without it many of us would not be able to function and would self medicate with other things . Now that you see the difference I would make a e-mail note to send to myself before they run out. Many family pharmacy provide this service and will even call your doctor when times get close to have them re-ordered for you and then will notify you they have your prescription ready or they will call you so you can call for yourself. It is hard to go without your meds and I have to get mine through the mail. I hate it this way because I never want to go the doctor so they could fax it for me, I would rather send it myself and I never find the time to make copies and send it to them. |
