Concerta is supposed to last 10-12 hours. However, individuals metabolize medication at different rates and children sometimes metabolize medication quicker. Straterra's effects are supposed to last 24 hours. You might want to talk to your pharmacist about it. They might have a better idea if either of the medications or the timing or dosage might be affecting his sleep.

My son is on Concerta 54 mg and straterra 25 mg. Takes both in the morning. It seems to be working well for him. He is a night owl as well. He was taking Benedryll (prescribed) at night to help him sleep. It worked great but I tried different things to avoid the medication because I think its better for him. I have found that leavng the radio on low on calm music helps him relax and he falls asleep quickly.
