daytrana patch

this med is new to me. I have tried all oral medications and wondering if the patch is the way to go. Should I contact my pediatrician about this new medication for my teenager?

Daytrana Patch

Thanks so much for the reply. I am going to ask my doctor about trying the patch with my daughter. The only problem is she is going away to camp for 2 weeks, and I don't know if she will be concerned about the other kids seeing her patch. Anyway, you are so right about the awareness during puberty. I see the same thing with my daughter. Although she still needs to redirect her response, interactions, etc., she is definately aware of the changes she would like to make. Thanks, again

Voluntary recall of 2 lots of DAYTRANA

I received a letter from Shire, the makers of DAYTRANA. They have initiated a voluntary recall of 2 lots of the ADHD patch DAYTRANA. Lot number 2750211 and 2764111. These lots do not meet their release liner removal specification and as a result parents and caregivers could have difficulties removing the liners. THIS IS A VOLUNTARY RECALL AND ITS NOT DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES. All of the Daytrana patches including the ones for the voluntary recall can still be used unless the release liner cannot be removed or the patches are damaged while being opened. If you have any questions regarding DAYTRANA including how to locate a near by pharmacy that carries the patch call Daytranacare at 1-800-828-2088 option 1.The web site for Daytrana is www.Daytrana.com.

daytrana patch

Hello again: I previously posted a message about the patch and I recently had problems (not sure if it was jsut the batch or not) but this past month the skin irration has really bothered him to the point he takes it off. I called the manufacture to see if possibly it was that month supply that I had and they informed me to send a patch in. I'm hoping that giving him a break from the patch will help. I have also heard that the patch has to be placed on the hip or buttocks ( a fat area).
