How to know if I have a LD or is it a part of Adult ADD? I go to college online because I could never make it going to a classroom or work with all the distractions in a class setting. It is so hard to absorb and retain all the info and writting a 1,000 word paper takes me like 12-14 hours- I end up staying awake all night to finish. It's hard to just put my thoughts into words. I am on AdderallXR but I only think it works a little bit, I only notice a small improvement and I have been on all the other ADD meds. How can I focus on my classes and retain the info? How do I know if I have a LD? Quote

how do I know? Presumedly you were tested and assessed with ADHD if you have a prescription. Ask that same doctor to go over the report with you so you can understand your learning strengths and weaknesses. Ask if you need to adjust the dose - sometimes more is better, sometimes less works better. Try. There is no drug to help with LD... but knowing the type of LD specifically can help you figure out strategies to help. On-line is a great idea you came up with yourself. Quote
