Admiting wrong doing
My 11 yr. old son, diagnosed with Add and depression, was just caught sneaking my cell phone out of my purse and using it to make prank phone calls. This happened after I finally thought I could trust him again to go play at a friends house for about 1/2 hr. The problem is he refuses to even admit what he did was wrong! When asked a straight forward yes or no question, he talks around it, explains that his friend told him to, thought he was "borrowing it", etc. Could he actually believe, in his mind, that he did nothing wrong? This is not the first time he has taken the phone with out me knowing. We are currently seeing a couselor and have discussed this type of behavour with her many times but appartently nothing is getting through to him. I'm really at my wits end right now with his lieing and making wrong choices.
