Top ADHD Tips

Aside from medications, what are the top three tips that have helped you or your family with ADHD?

Just looking for a short 1, 2, 3 recipe. No lengthy tomes as I'd like to be able to remember it. Behavioral ingredients would be great. A dash of humor would be better still. :)

P.S. Perfect answers are not required . . . note my question's by no means perfect (I had to resist temptation).

ADD Tips

There are other options to the meds. For us meds led to depression. my daughter now in 4th grade is doing much better, no meds. Neurofeedback, OT and lots of Calm Parenting . Our home is the safe place to escape from the school social challanges. I encourage guided play dates with one activity that I can help coach like making cookies, then I keep it short building on successes. Also, find your childs passion and help them to build on those successes. Sometimes we focus too much on the negative that we forget to see all the gifts these different children posess. Warm Hearts, creative minds...keep praising that instead of dwelling on the negative behaviors. Just a thought,
