Filing is FUN!
Okay, I'm a dork, but this is the greatest thing! I never filed because I didn't know where to put stuff. Once i did, i could never find it again, and would end up with 3 file folders for my cable bill (or whatever). I went to The Container Store, (www.containerstore.com) and bought a book and filing system called File Solutions. It's great. I actually look forward to filing things... color coded (4 Colors, 4 sections- Personal, Financial, Taxes and Insurance and Lifestyle), pre-printed labels and the very best part is that there is a DIRECTORY (That sits in the front file of the top drawer) of where to put things, or where you already put things... kids' shot records? No prob! Receipt for the new microwave? GOT IT! That page I tore out of the magazine because I liked the tile, DONE! It's so easy... I kid you not, it is now fun to file. Hooray! The set up was even easy. I bought file folders, hanging file folders, sat down with the book, turned the pages one by one and decided if I needed that file. Now, I'm biting off three or four old random files removing the contents,and putting them exactly where they belong quickly and easily. I wish I'd done it a long time ago! It takes the stress right outta that task! |

Filing is cool?????????????
I wish I had your enthusiam regarding filing. I absouletly hate paper especially loose paper that I can easily loose. Some where I filed a list of all my passwords and ID's but it no where to be found. I don't remeber throwing it out. I started a file cabinet two years ago; and I rarely go through all the papers. I still after emptying it out tow days ago have a big pile in the middle of the floor and slowly excruciating painful going thru it with a paper shedder next to me and filing the important stuff. Matter-of-fact I will be staying up until I finish it because I can't let go. Please let me in the secret how do I find your enthusiam about filing??? thank for any help |
