Decreased Effectiveness
Same thing happened to me...I was taking 450mg Wellbutrin which seemed effective for a while, but decreased over time. My Dr. kept me on the Wellbutrin, but added Concerta. That seemed to do the trick for about a while, but after about a year, I again noticed a big decline in effectiveness. My Dr. then switched the Concerta to Adderall, which was effective, but she had to keep increasing my dose over the last year to maintain this effectiveness. So, that's where I am right now...but to tell you the truth, I don't think it's as effective as it used to be, but I read so much about people getting addicted to stimulant meds that I don't want to keep increasing the dose.
I'm wondering if switching back and forth between Concerta and Adderall every year or so would help solve this issue?
But concerning the issue you're having with just the Wellbutrin alone...you're already at a high dose, so I think your Dr. will want to try a different medication or just add another one to the Wellbutrin.
