My son also has sleep problems. He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was not quite 4 yrs. We have been using over the counter Melatonin to help him sleep. His pediatrician had suggested using this after we refused to put him on more perscription medications for sleep. We use Nature Made 3mg Melatonin. He gets 1-2 pills (depending on hyperactivity level) 30 min before bed time. We also try to do a quiet activity before bed to help calm him down. Usually quiet play or reading stories. This strategy has really been paying off. It has been weeks since we have had any trouble with him getting to and staying alseep.
