If I was part of the studies done on a particular medicine and I developed a sore throat at the same time, they might list that as a possible side effect. My sore throat may have had nothing to do with the medicine but they have to list it as a possible side effect.

My daughter has an allergic reaction to penicillin but millions of people take penicillin without any problems. Be aware and educated and discuss your concerns with your doctor and pharmacist.

These side effects usually do go away after a short amt of time. I can't give you a specific length of time that these will last since everyone is different. But, if these side effects don't go away soon complain again to his doctor and make him hear you or you may need to seek out another doc. I hope that these side effects resolve soon. As I know that you are worried. Just try to be patient and keep in touch as for what you and/or your doc do. Sorry if this wasn't enough I wasn't sure what else to say.

I would be careful with the magnesium. It is the same ingredient that is in Milk of Magnesia and can give your child diarrhea.(Hope I spelled that correctly).
