Starting Adderall XR

Our 8 year old son will be starting Adderall XR in the next few days. Anyone have any comments, experiences, words of advice, etc. to offer? He is starting at 5 mg once daily for 7 days and then increasing it to 10 mg once daily.

Previous Adderall User

My son used Adderall XR and he does not respond well to stimulants. I will say of all the meds it was the best. He was having trouble sleeping at night, so they switched him to regular Adderall thinking he wasn't burning it off and it was preventing him from sleeping. So if your child does ok with stimulants you may really like this one! Good Luck!
