Provigil/ Narcolepsey ? Have Inattentive ADD

After trying several meds my son who has Inattentive ADD ('zones out') is now trying Provigil and likes it. Since this is used to treat Narcolepsy I was wondering if there is a connection to ADD-IN. Should I have him seen by a doctor to see if he has Narcolepsy?

Provigil/Narcolepsy

Some doctors have had success in using Provigil to treat ADD. The drug maker of Provigil was considering applying to market the drug as treatment for ADD but apparently results of studies were not as promising. That doesn't mean it won't work well for some individuals, as it has done for your son. Many with ADD, inattentive or not, have sleep problems. Some have more trouble falling asleep and some have trouble waking up.
