Support Group

rjharlan: you are right on with the support group!

Once I had personally figured out I have ADHD, I IMMEDIATELY searched the internet and found a support group! I was first diagnosed (at age 32) and the group has been, I don't even know how to say it... I just couldn't imagine being in the 'place' I am without it.

My diagnosing psychologist and I went through only a handful of sessions because he thought that I was working through my issues through my group and he felt my energies were well spent. Not all groups will do that, but even now when I need to be around others that speak my language, I know where to find them!

My only issue with my group is internal: I am impatient and restless and it's difficult for me to sit through some of the less dynamic aspects...!
