Inattentive type attention deficit disorder

Welcome to the ADDitude forums natty! Here's one of my favorite checklists from the ADDitude archives about how to diagnose inattentive ADD: http://www.additudemag.com/adhd/article/1691.html

For more information, click on the drop down list above in "topics a to z" and choose "women & ADD" or go to the "women and ADD" tab under "just diagnosed"

Inattentive ADD/ADHD

This is a great site above that was listed. Inattentive is where the ADD?ADHD is primarily trouble with attention span and paying attention. That's about all I can say in a nut shell. Hope this helped.

My daughter is inattentive type ADD. Here's our experience...

She is 10 yrs old and has always lived in her own little world. It's kind of hard to get through to her. Even when friends come over I have to remind her to interact with them. Even as a baby I remember being concerned becuase she would sit in her high chair and stare out into space. She's never had hyperactivity. Every year her teachers tell me the same thing- she's briliant, she just doesn't participate in class or do her work. She's very disorganised.
