Is It Your Metabolism?

Some children with ADD also suffer from a metabolic disturbance.

 

A small percentage of individuals with symptoms of ADD may be suffering from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or metabolic disturbances that deplete the body of essential vitamins and minerals. Some children with ADD have been shown to be deficient in zinc, magnesium, iron, and calcium. Experts say that a thorough diagnosis for ADD should include blood tests to assess nutritional status.
